The Cottage

Convenient to the cottage, there is exclusive ample parking space for two vehicles and a trailer outside the front door.

Enter Easby Farm cottage into the porch with a coat rack and boot/shoe rack (with slippers for use during your stay) for outdoor clothes with additional coat hooks in the cupboard under the stairs.

For muddy and wet boots, clothes, equipment etc, there is a secure storage area across the yard with facilities for cleaning boots and hanging wet outdoor clothes, boots and equipment.

Lounge and Dining Area
The heart of Easby Farm Cottage, the lounge, is spacious yet cosy with comfortable sofa and chairs - the perfect place to unwind and relax.

Although the cottage is oil centrally heated, the focal point of the room is the `log effect’ living flame electric fire. With the flick of a button on the remote control, the stove offers a realistic and cosy ambience to the room. It can function as a purely visual stove, as well as supplying instant heat if required.

The sideboard houses table cloths, napkins, place mats etc and a number of essentials that we feel you might just find useful during your stay, for example, sewing kit, clothes brush etc. Feel free to help yourself to the pens, paper, cards and envelopes.

The cupboard below hides an Aladdin’s cave of books, games, maps, guide books and reading matter for you to peruse. Feel free to `borrow’ a book from the top shelf and in return, leave another. The reference books, maps and guides are to help enrich your enjoyment of the area. They are for the use of our guests and we ask you to return them. Some of the guides are now (sadly) out of print. However, we do have copies of all the guide books for sale.

Conservatory / Sunroom
This wonderful room is an absolute sun trap in the summer and can get quite warm!
`Chill out’, read a book, enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of wine whilst watching the birds and wildlife on the lawn or the sunset on a balmy evening.
The patio doors lead to the raised garden. There is a set of garden furniture – table, chairs and parasol in the store room across the yard, along with a barbecue for your use.
Here you will find the Welcome basket which includes Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar, a bottle of locally brewed Geltsdale beer and a selection of maps and guide books of Brampton.

We know you will appreciate the well equipped kitchen – almost a home from home. Utensils range from the most basic paring knife to a garlic press, kitchen scales and tomato slicer! There is an excellent selection of pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, cookware, serving dishes and food preparation equipment, including a blender, hand blender and electric whisk, along with trays and chopping boards.

Easby Farm is serviced by a septic tank. Please do not use bleach or other such
non-degradable cleaning agents.

The electric hob cooker and oven is very easy to use and clean, with an extractor hood and light above. There is also a selection of cookery books. The fridge freezer will be at optimum temperature when you arrive.

Towels, tea towels and oven gloves are to be found in the drawers, as is cling film and tin foil, bin liners, cleaning materials, washing up liquid, soap, sponges, cloths, brushes and furniture polish.
On the wall, beside the cooker, is the fire blanket.

Utility Room
The control centre of the cottage!

Here you will find the dishwasher and washer/dryer.

If you prefer not to do your own washing whilst on holiday, we can recommend a service wash company who will pick up and deliver your washing, often on the same day.
There is a washing machine and separate dryer in the storage and washing room across the yard specifically for muddy outdoor clothing, along with an indoor washing line.

Cupboard Under the Stairs
Large enough to home Harry Potter, along with a laundry basket, washing basket, clothes pegs, drying racks for radiators, dust pan and brush, bucket and floor cloth, ironing board and iron, Hoover, reusable carrier bags, recycling bags, extension cable, continental adapter extension cable  and additional coat hooks. And just in case you didn’t bring one,
there is a small rucksac/daysac for your use.

The Main Bedroom

Each guest has a bath sheet, hand towel and face cloth. Extra are available on request, for an additional charge. The dressing table with mirror offers extra storage and is home to the hairdryer.

Single Bedroom

As with the Main Bedroom, the single bedroom has bedding from the V&A Historical Fabrics collection and egyptian cotton sheets. It is very comfortable, with views over the fields and across the yard.
Tastefully furnished, it has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and large mirror. Again, spare blankets, throws and pillows can be found in the wardrobe and a bath sheet, hand towel and face cloth are also provided.

Wake yourself up in the morning with an invigorating shower or relax after a long day in a hot bath. Feel free to use the bubble bath provided in the decanters on top of the cupboard.

The Shed
Opposite the Cottage, across the yard is The Shed.
To the right of the shed door is a tap with hosepipe, brushes and boot scraper/washer.
It is in the shed that you can store all your outdoor equipment, cycles, golf clubs, fishing tackle etc. safely and securely. It is also the place for wet and muddy outdoor clothes and boots.

Easby Farm Cottage is the perfect holiday destination for those discerning guests
who, not only enjoy the countryside and outdoors, but appreciate the peace and tranquillity that Easby has to offer.
